Rules and Guidelines

1.The forum was created so that our viewers can interact and support each other regarding various parenting issues. While freedom of expression is encouraged, aggressive and offensive behavior, including personal attacks, derogatory remarks, and overt criticism directed towards other members are strictly prohibited. This applies even if the identity of the member being referred to is not specified.

2.Keep you language clean. Cursing and use of derogatory names are prohibited. Using #@# in place of letters to represent swear words is likewise not allowed.

3.Although posts should be conversation provoking, it should not be stated in a manner that would intentionally start a conflict or argument with another member.

4.If you are upset or offended by another member’s post, respond to it in a well-thought objective manner rather than in an emotional manner, which may lead to you writing personal attacks.

5.Even if you feel that you will never see the person on the other end of the keyboard, never post something that you will not say to another person face to face.

6.Do not use capital letters unnecessarily. It can be interpreted as shouting and is therefore considered rude.

7.Posting copyrighted materials is not allowed, unless you own the copyright or you have a written consent from the owner of the copyright.

8.Spam, flooding, chain letters, advertisements, pyramid/multilevel marketing schemes, and solicitations, are not allowed.

9.Using another person’s account, for whatever reason, is prohibited.

10.Pediamoms reserve the right to reveal any member’s identity and other related information in the event that a legal action arises from any situation caused by that member’s use of this forum.

11.No self-promotion except in your signatures.

12.Always remember that by joining the Pediamoms forum, you fully agree that comments and opinions on the forum are not the comments and opinions of Pediamoms and Pediamoms moderators.

13.Pediamoms website and forum are not a substitute to medical consultations. Pediamoms moderators and forum members can only give support and accept no liability in relation to materials posted, including their contents and accuracy. Thus, all viewers and forum members are advised to seek professional help and/or medical consultations with their respective doctors when needed.

14.All viewers/ forum members are to abide by the rules. At the moderators’ discretion, offensive posts may be deleted and/or members not following the rules may be banned without prior notice.
